A corporate resolution was approved to amend our constitution by adding the terms and management details of the Christ on the Campus Endowment Fund. A final approval vote will be taken at next year’s meeting to officially amend our constitution.
Garden Hills, Champaign, hosted the Monday evening session with 55 messengers and 6 visitors representing 13 churches. Tuesday evening’s session was hosted by First Baptist, LeRoy, with 38 messengers and 7 visitors representing 14 churches. Eleven pastors attended one or both sessions.
"CHRIST ON THE CAMPUS" ENDOWMENT FUND
How to invest in the "Christ on the Campus" Fund:
CHURCHES
Make monthly donations.
Place "Christ on the Campus" Fund in their budget.
Encourage members to give to the "Christ on the Campus" Fund.
Make a one-time gift to the "Christ on the Campus" Fund.
Take up a special offering to support campus ministries.

INDIVIDUALS
Make monthly donations.
Make a one-time special gift.
Place a gift to "Christ on the Campus" Fund in your will.
Give stock, bonds, or mutual funds directly to the Fund.
(Individuals may avoid capital gains taxes with this method.)
If required to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from a retirement account, you may direct it to the "Christ on the Campus" Fund. (Individuals may deduct the entire RMD amount on their taxes.)
Please make donations payable to ECIBA "Christ on the Campus" Fund and mail them to the Association.
Contact the Association for the proper paperwork to give stock, bonds, mutual funds, or RMD to the "Christ on the Campus" Fund.

Senior Adult Luncheon
Senior Adult luncheon will be held November 6, at 12:00 noon at Gibson City Church. Meat and drinks will be furnished and Seniors are asked to bring a dish to share. If the Neal's don't get called out again for Disaster Relief, they will be coming to give us an interesting program on volunteering with the disaster relief team. We are looking forward to hearing them share of some of their experiences. Mark your calendars, and we’ll see ya on the 6th!

WMU Women's Marketplace
mission trip will be February 13-18th. Any women interested in serving on this team must get her application in by December 15, 2008. The cost for the trip will be $225.00 which pays for the motel room and some meals. Also for churches that would like to help with collecting needed items for the meal, we will need large cans of corn, green beans, peas, carrots, potatoes, vanilla or chocolate pudding mix, kool-aid. College Avenue Baptist Church is still in need of volunteers to help them with the construction of their new addition. Contact the church for more details.
Four members of the Bethel Baptist Church, Danville completed a one day mission project at "Love Packages" in Butler, IL. They donated several boxes of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School materials. While there they sorted materials and Bibles for packaging to be sent for use in missions overseas. One man's vision has become an awesome ministry that reaches the far corners of the world.
Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist, Urbana,
An American Sign Language class is meeting each Sunday evening at 5 p.m.; everyone is welcome.
Also, PA's Voices (worship singing group) will be joining the "Parade of Lights" in downtown Champaign doing sidewalk caroling on December 6th.

The WOM (Women On Mission)of Calvary Baptist Church, Monticello, held their annual Garage Sale GIVE AWAY community ministry on October 16-18. The focus of this ministry is to provide low income people with clothing and other needed items. Flyers were disbursed to local agencies which allowed their clients to attend the GIVEAWAY prior to anyone else. Thirty-seven people turned in letters with each bringing at least one to five other members of their family to the Thursday evening opening. We handed out approximately 82 plastic bags with our church fler included. We had a wonderful turn out of volunteers including help from our youth group. Then the general public was invited to the GIVE AWAY on Friday & Saturday mornings.

Amazing Women Serving Our Master
a missions retreat for teenage girls.
The cost is just $16 per person and includes Saturday lunch. Dates are November 7-8, and it is being held at the Baptist Building. There are mission projects, break out sessions, games and time to just hang loose.

The Illinois Baptist State Association Annual Meeting
will reflect its theme, "Churches of Strength," based on Acts 9:31. The meeting will celebrate Illinois Baptist churches that have grown stronger through adversity, creativity, outreach, change, Bible study and other areas.
